Longstanding listener Steve from Phoenix went to London and did us all a favor by visiting the replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship, the Golden Hind. He took some great photos and passed them along for those of us, including me, who have not been to see the ship. (Sadly, the last time I went to London I knew next to nothing about Drake!)
As Steve pointed out in his email to me, it is much smaller than any of us moderns could fathom. Imagine the difficulty of the “Famous Voyage,” especially with tons of silver on board!
