About a year ago, Liz Tinkham of the “Third Act” podcast interviewed me about my own “third act,” doing this podcast. We didn’t have even 20% of the followers then that we have now, so many of you might have missed it. Anyway, she re-released it yesterday as an “encore” and I listened to myself again, a year later. I think the interview actually holds up pretty well. Longstanding listeners will hear me go on about Francis Drake, even before I had done an episode on him.
To be clear, I did not call myself a “historian.” I’m not one — just a dude who likes history. Headline writers, man.
