An old New Orleans ghost story

PalomaMedia.Com asked me to contribute to their “ghost week” series, so I read an old New Orleans ghost story for them. Be warned, however, that the story is absolutely not for kids or, for that matter, anyone with a weak stomach. It is therefore not at all in the tradition of the History of the Americans Podcast. But it is at some level a true and very scary story from the history of that city that is a staple of the walking ghost tours in the French Quarter, so if you like that sort of thing….
