Maps of King Philip’s War

King Philip - Metacom - as rendered by Paul Revere

Here are some useful maps for following alone with the complicated story of King Philip’s War. The first three come from Matthew J. Tuininga, The Wars of the Lord: The Puritan Conquest of America’s First People, which I highly recommend for those of you who want to go deeper. If you buy it, consider doing so through the link here or on the Books tab of the podcast.

The bottom map, depicting the retreat of Philip (Metacom) and Weetamoo during the summer of 1675, comes from Nathaniel Philbrick, Mayflower: Voyage, Community, War, also excellent and worth your time.

I may update this post if I come across other useful cartography, and you will be the first to know.
